Informations :
From the age of 8.
The activity takes place on the Verdon river.
Activity only possible on days when the dam upstream of the river is open:
July / August: Tuesday – Friday.
Rest of the year: Information communicated by EDF the day before for the following day.
Requirements :
Be in good physical condition and not suffer from any medical contraindication to the practice of sport.
Know how to swim and be comfortable in the water.
Equipment needed:
A good pair of sneakers – Mandatory
A swimsuit, Shorts
A towel
A bag for dry items
A bottle of water
A cord for glasses (2€ on site) or contact lenses

Rafting activity presentation
The intermediate rafting activity takes place for half a day, in groups of 8 people maximum on the same boat, plus your guide. We will navigate between the village of Castellane and as far as the Pont de Soleil, further down the river.
The Verdon – “Pont de soleil” intermediate rafting route is longer than the discovery route, while remaining accessible for people new to the activity. This route can also be done by canoe-kayak . It starts at the start of the “ Discovery ” course and ends in the middle of the “ Point Sublime ” course.
Come with family or friends to try your hand at the joys of white water with this 12 km course or 3h30 of activity for about 2 hours on the water. For rafting navigation on the Verdon we are dependent on the opening of the EDF dam upstream of Castellane.
During the summer period (July and August) the dam is open every Tuesday and Friday only.
For the months of May, June and September , the information is communicated to us 24 hours in advance. Anyway, don’t worry, if it is closed on the reserved day, we suggest you postpone the activity or go aqua hike to come and discover the Verdon, its Grandes Gorges and its Grand Canyon by swimming, from the bed of the river.
Indeed, this intermediate course is accessible to all, whether with family with children from 8 years old , with friends or for your bachelor party, you are welcome for this fun descent crossing mineral and vegetal landscapes. emblematic of the region .

Prepare your rafting trip in the Gorges du Verdon
We invite you to meet us at our base located just next to the Huttopia “Gorges du Verdon” campsite . Come at the time indicated in your confirmation email. There you will meet your instructor (guide). We have changing rooms at your disposal to change and leave your belongings. Nevertheless, we recommend that you leave your valuables in your vehicle or at your location. Your guide will give you your equipment. Once equipped, you will take a seat in our mini-bus to get to the start of the route ( Castellane ). On site, we will provide you with a briefing on the course of the activity and the safety instructions.
Presentation of the activity
You will discover in rafting, the Gorges du Verdon in the most beautiful way . You will navigate through quieter passages that will allow you to enjoy the breathtaking panorama. While sections with rapids will make the descent more sporty and fun. Your instructor is there for your safety. He will also give you instructions throughout the descent and will adapt the route so that you can make the most of it. On the program,laughter and spectacular landscapes await you !
Arrival
After About 1h30 of descent , the arrival takes place directly on the campsite. Finally, return to our equipment area to collect your belongings, before resuming the course of your day! Do not hesitate to book your activity!
FAQ – Rafting Point Sublime
1 – What is the difference between the Point Sublime course and the Discovery Course?
The Point Sublime course is sportier, the rapids are more technical than on the Découverte course and the crew is essential to handle the boat. This is why it is accessible from 12 years old, while the Discovery course is possible from 6 years old. Finally, at the end of the Point Sublime course you will have to roll and carry the raft to our mini-bus.
2 – From what age can I do the Point Sublime course?
The Point Sublime course is accessible from 12 years old. Indeed, the course has some difficulties (surmountable) but you have to listen to the guide and have a good team. In addition, at the end of the route you will have to help the guide to roll the raft and carry it up to the mini-bus.
3 – When can I go rafting in the Verdon?
Rafting is only available during the opening times of the dams. During the months of July and August, rafting trips take place on Tuesdays and/or Fridays. However, during the low season, the openings of the dams are dependent on the constraints of EDF and make the openings more random.
4 – How long does the Point Sublime rafting trip last?
The rafting descent is done in 1h30 but it takes 3h of activity in total. The remaining 1h30 will be used for your preparation, including the time you put on your wetsuit, go to the start of the activity, listen to the guide’s briefing and return to our equipment area in our mini-buses.
5 – What should I wear for rafting in the Verdon?
For your activity, come with your swimsuit, shoes with thick soles such as sports or hiking shoes. However, shoes with thin soles such as neoprene water shoes are not permitted. We will provide you with your neoprene wetsuit, life jacket and helmet. For the end of the activity, we advise you to take a towel and a second pair of shoes because the one used during the activity will be wet and it will be more pleasant to return with dry shoes!
