If the dam opens, you will have the option of postponing the activity , or going rafting instead.

FAQ – Rando Aqua Verdon

1 – What are the differences between aqua hiking and canyoning?

The aqua hike is an activity similar to canyoning. Less technical and more accessible for heterogeneous groups, aquatic hiking is the only activity that allows you to discover the great gorges or the Grand Canyon of the Verdon from the bed of the river by letting yourself be carried by the current.

2 – From what age can we practice aquatic hiking?

Aquatic hiking is accessible from 8 years old for the Tusset bridge course and from 12 years old for the Samson corridor course, provided you know how to swim.

3 – What pair of shoes for aqua hiking?

Aquatic hiking is a sporting activity, you need a pair of sports shoes (tennis or basketball) and especially not small neoprene river shoes.

4 – Why can’t I take a neoprene river shoe?

River slippers (in neoprene) are often too soft and with a very thin sole. It is important to have a sufficiently thick and rigid sole for aqua hiking.
