The activity takes place on the Verdon river.
Activity only possible in low season on days when the dam upstream of the river is open: Information communicated by EDF the day before for the next day.
Requirements :
Be in good physical condition and not suffer from any medical contraindication to the practice of sport.
Know how to swim and be comfortable in the water.
Equipment needed:
A good pair of sneakers – Mandatory
A swimsuit, Shorts
A towel
A bag for dry items
A bottle of water
A cord for glasses (2€ on site) or contact lenses

The full rafting activity takes place for half a day on the Verdon River , in the heart of the Verdon Gorges !
Physical course, aimed at an audience with a good sporting condition, it is accessible to children from 12 years old .
The course rafting on the Verdon “Pont de Taloire” is surely the most complete of the Gorges du Verdon.
Throw yourself into the water , with Haute Provence Outdoor , on this beautiful 16 km sports descent, or around 3h30 of supervised aquatic activity.
Rafting in the Verdon depends on the opening of the EDF dam upstream of Castellane. In July and August, outings are only possible on Tuesdays and Fridays .
For the months of May, June and September , we only know 24 hours in advance if the dam will be open or not. In case of closure, we offer you the possibility of postponing the activity or opting for an aqua hike outing.
This rafting course, more technical, will allow you to discover the most beautiful navigable part of the Verdon , Between Castellane and the municipality of Rougon at the entrance to the Grand Canyon.
A succession of breathtaking landscapes will make this descent a unique and unforgettable moment!
Arrival is at the start of the famous Samson corridor below the Sublime Point .
At the end of the course, a last effort is necessary: carry the raft with the guide to join the shuttle.
This course is reserved for the most experienced, with class 3+ passages and powerful rapids. It remains accessible with family or friends and ideal for your bachelor parties (EVG) and bachelor parties (EVJF) !
Prepare your rafting trip in the Gorges du Verdon
We will meet you at our base located just next to the Huttopia “Gorges du Verdon” campsite at the time indicated in your confirmation email. There you will meet your instructor (guide). We have changing rooms at your disposal to change and leave your belongings, we recommend that you leave your valuables in your vehicle or at your location. Your guide will give you your equipment, then you will take your place in our mini-bus to go to the beginning of the route (Castellane). A briefing on the course of the activity and the safety instructions will take place on site.
Presentation of the rafting activity
You will discover by rafting, the most emblematic part of the Gorges du Verdon , in the most beautiful way: quieter passages will allow you to enjoy the breathtaking panorama while sections with rapids will make the descent more sporty and fun. Your instructor is there for your safety, giving instructions and adapting the course for your pleasure. On the program,laughter and spectacular landscapes await you !
Arrival
After about 2 hours of descent, you will arrive at the entrance of the famous Samson corridor , just below the Point Sublime . The Grand Canyon stands in front of you: enjoy the grandiose panorama ! We will then bring you back to the campsite where you can collect your belongings. Do not hesitate to book your activity!
