Canoe-kayak – Le Point Sublime – Sport course

Canoe Kayak activity presentation :

Physical and sporting course in canoe-kayak in the Verdon aimed at a public at ease with the conduct of this boat. Requires to be in good physical condition and in good health.

The ” Point Sublime ” sports course is surely the most spectacular of the Gorges du Verdon . Aboard an airboat (single-seater or two-seater), called a canoe-kayak, your guide will accompany you to discover the Gorges du Verdon in the best possible way and from the most beautiful angle! Alone or in pairs, take control of your boat and be your own captain!

At Haute Provence Outdoor, this route starts from the Huttopia campsite (10 minutes from Castellane) where we have our base. His arrival is at the entrance of the famous Samson corridor below the Point Sublime . You will sail on the most beautiful part of the Verdon river . Finally, you will end at the entrance gates of the largest Grand Canyon in Europe .

At the end of the course, a last effort is necessary! Finally, you will have to carry your boat to reach the bus that will take you back to the campsite.

Embark on a 12 km adventure, approximately 3.5 hours of activity supervised by a guide, for approximately 2 hours on the water.

This course is reserved for the most experienced, the stream is more powerful with passages of class 3+ !

It is preferable to be familiar with the practice of whitewater rafting or mastering river canoeing.

Prepare your Canoe Kayak trip in the Gorges du Verdon

We will meet you at our base located just next to the Huttopia “Gorges du Verdon” campsite 10 minutes before the time indicated in your confirmation email. There you will meet your instructor (guide). We have changing rooms at your disposal to change and leave your belongings. Nevertheless, we recommend that you leave your valuables in your vehicle or at your location. Your guide will give you your equipment. After getting equipped and having listened to the briefing and the safety instructions, we will go directly to the edge of the river for the start of our descent.

Presentation of the sporting canoe-kayak activity Verdon

You will discover by canoe-kayak with this sporting course, the most emblematic part of the Gorges du Verdon in the most beautiful way. You will navigate between quieter passages, which will allow you to enjoy the breathtaking panorama. While sections with rapids will make the descent more sporty and fun. Your instructor is there for your safety and will give you instructions throughout the descent. Indeed, he will know how to adapt the course so that you can enjoy it to the fullest. On the program, giggles and spectacular landscapes await you! Don’t hesitate !

Arrival

After about 2 hours of descent, you will arrive at the entrance to the famous Samson corridor , just below Point Sublime . The Grand Canyon stands in front of you: enjoy the grandiose panorama ! Before returning, you will need to carry your canoe to the mini-bus. Then, you will again be rewarded with a breathtaking view. Then, we will bring you back to the campsite where you can collect your belongings, before resuming the course of your day!
