Canyoning in the Gorges du Loup

Located in Provence Alpes Côtes d’Azur, the Gorges du Loup offer a splendid setting for activities in the great outdoors, in white water , such as canyoning .

The wolf is a River which has its source in the Audibergue mountain above Grasse and flows into the Mediterranean near Cagnes-sur-mer, in the department of Alpes-Maritimes .

The beginning of the Gorges du Loup are marked by the beautiful village of Bar-sur-Loup, along the gorges are magnificent sites and landscapes such as the 40 m high Courmes waterfall , La Grande-Marmite and the Cascade des Ladies .

These gorges are magnificent and delight us with their scenery, we pass cliffs with lush vegetation and turquoise waters .

They make it possible to offer several activities such as Trek , bathing and also initiation to the speleology thanks to the Mescla caves.

Around the gorges you can enjoy many picturesque villages with architectural charm and historical past, such as Bar-sur-Loup, Medieval city , the hamlet of Pont du Loup, known for Maison Florian, a renowned confectionery.

There is also the village of Tourette sur Loup called “the city of the violet” because of its production of flowers of the same name.

The gorges have a lot of surprises , beautiful landscapes and many other villages, which will delight young and old .

What is the Canyon du Loup?

At Haute Provence Outdoor we invite you to discover the canyon from a more aquatic point of view with the canyoning activity.

The Loup Canyon is a route accessible to a large audience. It is an initiation path pleasant to do with the family. It allows young and adults to be able to measure themselves against the nature through these magnificent landscapes.

You will pass in the middle of beautiful encasements , some big naturalswimming pools, clear water basins. All along the route you will be immersed in a nature lush.

You will chain the obstacles, swimming or jumping . It is a complete course which will allow you to discover in a fun way the activity of canyoning. No obstacle is required but you can try your hand at the various facets of the canyon, from swimming to walking to tobogganing.

You will need to be comfortable in the water and know how to swim to enjoy this activity and have a good time. The course is adaptable to different levels because it can offer you, for the more adventurous, a beautiful jump of 10 meters at the end !
